Mash Notes: Used in some authentic German styles. Attempt to draw decoction from the thickest portion of the mash. Profiles vary. Some traditional German mashes use a long acid rest at 40 deg C. Also some sources recommend the decoction amount be given a 15 minute saccharification rest at 158 F (70 C) before boiling it.

Notes

Frow BYO Paulaner Hefe-Weizen clone. Meant to be a hi-gravity version. So adjustting a bit of hop utilizztion.
Single decoction mash with a 30 minute rest at 55C and a 45 minute rest at 67C. Boil for 2 hours. No mash out.
Verdund van 6.79 naar 5.0 dmv 9 flessen spa blauw (13.5 liter bij de 40.0 liter). Afgevuld is 49.6 liter dus het was geen 40 maar 50-13.5=36,5. Dan is de verdunningsfactor ook anders, namelijk 74 % (36.5/49.6). IBU and EBC linearly corrected as approximation.
